Совершенно новая и пока ещё необычная для меня особенность этих ваших Австралий - это то, что здесь на каждом шагу собирают персональные данные про тебя. Я уже не помню, сколько раз за последние две недели я должен был указать комбинации "имя+телефон+мыло+адрес". Иногда адрес не спрашивают, но телефон и мыло практически везде обязательны. Без телефна мне не могли открыть интернет-банкинг, в то время как сам банковский счёт открыли в первый же день. Для регистрации даже препейд номера требуются паспортные данные. В ходу система т.н. 100 point check, когда для полноценной идентификации тебе надо набрать 100 баллов, причём паспорт считается всего за 60 (а не 70, как по ссылке).

Сделано это с благой целью уменьшить махинации. Тем не менее, я уже успел столкнуться с двумя интересными случаями.

Сперва, в процессе поиска жилья, наткнулся на интересное предложение, с ценой в 2-3 раза меньше "среднего по рынку". Написал, что хочу посмотреть, на что получил ответ:

The rent price includes all utilities (water, electricity,gas,internet,cable, parking) and the length of the lease is flexible: long/short term (min. 2 months / max. 3 years).

It's $760 per month for the whole apartment, the first deposit will be $1960 (first month $760 + security bond $1200).

Now, if you are interested, fill out the application form and I`ll get back to you with a decision, most probably tomorrow.

I forgot to mention that the apartment is fully insured by Apia (www.apia.com.au/apia/apartment-insurance). For any kind of repairs, you have to contact the building manager and he will get in touch with the insurance company.

The reason I want to rent the apartment, it's because I will not live there in the next 3-4 years. I`m vascular surgeon and I professed in Melbourne until two months ago when I received the wonderful news that I was accepted to The London Bridge Hospital. Under these circumstances, I`ve moved to London / UK with my family and now I have to rent the apartment.

As long as I have the keys with me, in order to check the apartment, see if you like it, you need to receive the keys and the contract. I have found a way to complete the deal safe and fast, and in this way you will receive the keys in less than 3 days, to be able to take a look at the apartment as soon as possible. The solution is provided by a company called Ee Intex HLB ( www.ee-intex-hlb.com ). They are a well known company all over the world, so I went to their office in London and I put the keys along with the additional documents in their custody.

This is the general procedure, but to see the detailed procedure regarding my package go to "Click here to see your sender requirements" and enter my email address.

Ну тут уже понятно, откуда ноги растут. Написал сайту, на котором размещалось это объявление, что это fraud, они его оттуда снесли. Вроде всё ок.

Следующий случай случился при заказе мобильника через интернет. Залез на сайт, купил, оплатил, получил подтверждение, всё нормально. Пришло письмо с tracking number послыки, полез посмотреть, где она сейчас. Внезапно получаю следующее письмо:

order we require further information as we noticed some inconsistencies
while we were processing you order.

To be more specific we noted that when you placed the order it was done
with an ip address located in Australia. Then when you check the orders
tracking number it was done with an ip address located in Norway.

I am a bit surprised by this email, as I never got such requests. And I think, a webshop should not do this kind of requests. Checking the tracking number is not a part of the order and could, in principle, be performed by third parties.

The reason I had different ip addresses is because I used VPN at different times.

I have ordered the item to the address in Australia with a Norwegian bank card. Doesn't this look inconsistent? Furthermore, you have already charged my card.

I expect that the item would be delivered according to the order with no further checks.

После чего заказ "отпустили", но они мне таки позвонили и стали снова спрашивать proof of identification. Нунах, сказал я, отменяйте заказ и возвращайте деньги. Окай, сказали они и прислали подтверждение отмены.

Вопщем, Австралия по-прежнему непонятна..
